Once the govt got a taste of all that $$ from fnf profits, they decided they liked it too much to turn off the spigot to themselves. It would not surprise me in the least if some of them are thinking, "Why should the shareholders get that money when it will serve the people better if it goes to the federal govt? After all, we take the high road compared to those greedy fnf executives and bankers. Those profits SHOULD go to us. In the name of the public good, that money really should belong to the govt." Woe is us. IMO.
