it's less about math than it is about life circumstances... what if someone is in an accident and breaks their neck? tough luck? they should have done the math? what if someone retires at 65 but only has worked 5 years vs someone who retires at 51 who worked 30 years?

regardless of all that, I believe the elderly should be cared for in our society. I'm not saying give them enough to golf every day, but health care is a basic necessity that everyone should have.
