Since Conroe needs a new VRM which precludes it from existing 775 MBs even if, the chipset can support it, the same is likely true with Merom. The Napa chipset may support it, but the current VRMs will not. Thus Merom will not be a "drop in" replacement. More OEM engineering work will be required along with the subsequent testing and Q/C time needs. Thus delaying Merom even with current MBs.
