Alas, it is too bad that Alterrus was dealt the financial hand that they were given. From some conversations with some of the local grocers, it sounds like the mechanism failure required substantial funding to fix, and obviously, with the debt it already had, Chris Ng wasn't able to achieve additional funding to fix the problem. I admired that they built a brand name with Local Garden. It will be interesting to see if there will be a company that will take the Verticrop technology from the ashes. Will be interesting to see some of the other Vertical Farms do well. They didn't have a ton of debt before even getting off the ground (i.e. FarmedHere, Gotham Greens, The Plant etc...).

Again, like any penny stock, high risk, high reward. Though this investment fell thru, I still stand behind my conviction that the potential was there, the company was given a curve ball with the breakage, and already in a fragile state, wasn't able to regain its footing. Would have loved to see their revenue jump from September on, but we probably wont see any of that.
