what's a BOD Karin?

may I take advantage and ask as well whether Ph1 trials always have to be followed by Ph2? (I've seen big pharma jumping to Ph3 directly, is it bk they can afford it -$)?

Do most Ph1 trials reach 7 cohorts (if successful at keeping toxicity low)?
i.e. do they normally plan Ph1 trials where the dose increases progressively until a number btw 5 and 8:? (just to mention two numbers)
