Yea, ALSK bought them to get into the cellular business
before VZ, just trying to get a foothold in the State, ate them
for breakfast. But that was before VZ took on a mountain of
debt, and diluted itself in the process, to buy the 45% of it's
own stock back from VOD. For the near term, since the VOD
deal has not yet been completed, or the completion date not
even announced, VZ is hardly in position to buy ALSK out.
As far as I know, T isn't even in the state.
