Welcome aboard. When i spoke with JN a few months ago he said they were open to all possibilities including selling, if the price was right. I would guess from recent events that selling is probably not that high on the list at this time since they are buying instead.

As to length of day that is part of it. Because of the design the chips can collect sunlight both earlier and later in the day than standard solar which is only efficient when the sun is directly over head. That is on top of converting more sunlight into energy do to the bouncing around inside the chips. In addition, the panels will be more efficient through out the year as the sun angle to the earth changes.

As to flipping, no way. I'm in for a long ride.
