the person in the movie to do things "not correct" which cancelled out
going the final distance to his goal.

For many people these "not correct" things can take many forms:

- sell'n your soul to the Devil
- taking too many risks
- being careless
- not bending your values to get ahead
- being honest
- being dishonest
- etc etc

Bottom Line - What does it mean "To want to validate one's own life?"

One must be careful to know, is one chasing something,
or running away from something.

Does one want to reach something, or not have something reach them.

To go someplace, or leave someplace.

Is "place" a person, place, thing, GLOP or Sheriff Matt.
