Scottrade just gave me a lenghty explanation. As long as those whacks are within trading range (which was 4 vs 5 today) it is legit. It is market maker doing his job, whatever that implies (aka manipulation). If we start seeing trade-through, then we might have a case. The fact that 100 share whack artifically lowers the MV of a position does not in itself warranty a case. That was the response given to me. I hope you get better answer from your broker.
