How does this not strike fear into the hearts of Intel fans who are adamant that margins aren't being threatened by mobile?

The logic of this statement escapes me. How is the replacement of a notebook with a 2-in-1 supposed to freak us out?

I also think you are stuck in a PC-centric frame of mind. We are well on our way to the next level of computing where we will exist in a sea of processors. It's not about desktops or PCs, it's about processors and as we found out at CES, they are going to be everywhere and in everything. Even if Intel doesn't have huge success on the client side of this, they will have huge success on the server/data center side.

The game is changing. Cisco's Chambers thinks the IoT is a $4.6 TRILLION dollar market. Mobility is only a part of that.

Given ARM's economic problems with their fabrication, Intel has some serious advantages as we move to the next level of computing.
