I think you reading to much into whats going on here. Most people like myself never knew of the old company. We are simply getting in on whats believed will be the ground floor of a stock going into the next big thing which is bitcoins. The mere fact that the company was diligent and fast enough to go after the best ticker representing bitcoins was genius in itsself.

Bitcoins is just in the beginning stage and we all know that. Anyone denying that is just plane lieing or just un-educated about the new currency. Jan 28th is the next big date to watch out for as more meetings taking place on that date. The last time a meeting took place the Senate acknowledged bitcoins which then took off
from a couple hundreds to over $1100.

BITC is bound to start benefiting from the moves now, just for management to get the website up and running as quick as possible.
