My What If scenario(say in 20yrs time) included the unlikely prospect that literally every other architecture had withered away to nothing and ARM had overwhelming software compiled dominance.

To get to this scenario, we would have seen a painful transition of just about all programs currently running on x86, transition over to ARM.

At that point, I would imagine that there would be tremendous reluctance then to go to a new architecture, after such a porting process.

So in this hypothetical scenario, how far could ARM jack up licensing fees.

If it is currently 1.5%, could they go to 5%?
