350 million smokers in China compared to 43 million in the US, huge numbers!

A report late last year by the state-run broadcaster CCTV put the number of smokers in China around 350 million.

An estimated 43.8 million people, or 19.0% of all adults (aged 18 years or older), in the United States smoke cigarettes.1 Cigarette smoking is more common among men (21.6%) than women (16.5%).1
