Ayles, I would try to calculate this another way. 'Wanting' to do X-million lbs/yr is one thing, and nice to calculate what that comes out to. But, I think a more practical approach would be to determine how much area is required to produce x-lbs of MJ and determine how much they can produce in their acquired space.

I wish I remember where I saw some calculations in regards to that...how much field acreage is required to produce x-amount of MJ. If they are producing in Canada, then indoors will cost them dearly for utilities in the winter.

1 acre = 43,560 square feet. I think they listed 58,000 sq. ft., so that is about ~30% more so say 1.3 acres)

There's a bit of fudging in that article, but they are suggesting 8,500 oz/acre, so roughly 1.3 x 8,500 = 11,050 oz. If they 'cram them in, double it? You would need a shopping mall sized place to make a million lbs/yr.
