Blzzy - Its fine that you question previous management but to characterize the science in to utility of anatabine as marginal is I believe a miss statement. While a full understanding of how it operates may not be known, studies such as the study below:

Caturegli P, De Remigis A, Ferlito M, Landek-Salgado MA, Iwama S, Tzou SC, Ladenson PW. Anatabine ameliorates experimental autoimmune thyroiditis. Endocrinology. 2012 Sep;153(9):4580-7.
Key words: thyroiditis, anatabine
http://endo.endojournals.org/content/153/9/4580.long
PMID: 22807490

In which the authors conclude:

these studies demonstrate that anatabine, a minor alkaloid originally derived from solanaceous plants, attenuates in a murine model histopathological, serological, and functional manifestations of thyroid autoimmunity. Further exploration of anatabine's antiinflammatory mechanisms and potential clinical utility are worthwhile.

Acknowledgments
We express our gratitude to Drs. Michael Mullan and Fiona Crawford (Roskamp Institute, Sarasota, FL) for their guidance and advice.

This work was supported by a grant from the Walton Family Foundation. S.I. was supported in part by a fellowship from the Uehara Memorial Foundation (Tokyo, Japan).

Disclosure Summary: P.C. and P.W.L. are consultants for Rock Creek Pharmaceuticals Inc. The other authors have nothing to declare.

It is interesting that this information is listed under

In addition, I am sure you are aware of the research by Mullan and Crawford and their pedigree. Why would both risk their hard earned reputations as world class researchers in Alzheimers and TBI, with a substance they believe did not have worthy potential?

In my opinion, their research coupled with that linked above is not "marginal science"

Just trying to keep it honest here. Disclosure, 2 year user with multiple inflammatory conditions that have been helped by anatabloc and my CRP is also under 1.0 - very happy with that. Tumeric is also an ideal supplement but I don't see anyone claiming it can "attenuate in a murine model histopathological, serological, and functional manifestations of thyroid autoimmunity. Just sayin..... Good luck in your investing, not trying to promote mudslinging.
