I have a lot of issues with Christie, but highly doubt he lied about this. The man flat out started kicking asses once he says he found out about it. No, not some kind of slap on the wrist, take a paid vacation BS like Obama and Hillary react which wreaks of payoffs to make sure the truth does not come out. Nope! Flat out firing and public statements of disgust for what they did!
