The reality of the sector...

...is that the proliferation of medical and legal marijuana related legislation, media coverage, and viable small business opportunities simply make this the single most INTERESTING sector in existence. This is a paradigm shift in our country that impacts EVERYONE. I know financially conservative professionals of all ages and work in a variety of fields (law, law enforcement, education, IT, programming, health care) that are waiting for their first ever brokerage accounts to be verified so they can partake - simply out of curiosity. Not even social media - which is clearly utilized at a much higher rate and by more individuals could not pique the interest of new investors (twitter @ $60 = Who gives a sh*t?). But legal weed...really? When you couple the curiosity factor with the extremely cheap, entry-level stock prices and view it through the lens of the paradigm shift...you simply don't sell.
