I don't see why Intel is necessarily the one winning here based on your view.

There is nothing certain in life and there are no guarantees Intel
will win the majority of the mobile SoC/MPU market or even a
substantial presence
. Many of its potential customers have a vested
interest in x86 NOT gaining a hegemony like in PCs and workstations
and getting ever closer to in servers. Intel needs not only just better
products but significantly better products to gain share with these kind
of non-technological factors working against it

However, I have followed the MPU biz since the 8080 and 6800 days
and still betting my own dime on Intel to be last man standing. The
fundamental principles of IC technology and economics that have
driven Intel to clear semi leadership have not really changed. All of
the rest is day to day, transient details that you are lost in.

I for one am getting pretty tired of your hysterics and doomsaying
about Intel's business
. No company hits it out of the park with every
product release. In general new products from outsiders moving into
markets with established incumbents, almost always fail to win much
sales. Good companies carefully learn why and make something better
the next time around. With enough persistence and doggedness good
companies get a persistent foothold and push hard to expand it. Bad
companies keep introducing new products that go no where until they
give up trying to enter the new market.

If you don't have the balls or patience for investing in the semi sector
then by all means take your wailing and breast beating somewhere
else and leave us in peace.
