well it is almost an engulfing candle, it would have had to finish at least as high yesterdays high to be a genuine engulfing candle, but it was a bullish signal today none the less. I am not an expert by no means but i do use candle charting and have several books and today was not an engulfing candle but maybe a piercing one.
