We should care because over the long term this has been responsible for at least holding the sp down, and making the technicals (I don't care about them but there are those who do care and base buying/selling decisions on them) look worse than they should be. Like it or not, it has a definite drag on the SP when this is done day after day like it has been. No question/no debate there have been on purpose sells of 100 shares late in the day or else at key points in the day to take the SP down several cents. I have even seen the sells taking the SP down below the bid late in the day. No normal investor would sell a penny or two below the bid! If nothing else this has a psychological effect on some investors including would-be investors who might otherwise buy the stock. It may not seem like much on a one day basis, but cumulatively the effect is significant and has indeed helped hold the sp down.

Those who are doing this are obviously not aligned with wanting the company to succeed. It is too bad they have been able to get away with it (these trades designed to drag the sp down).

One can speculate who is doing these trades, I won't and will leave it to others to do so! It is certainly not benevolent forces wanting the company to succeed, that's for sure. Nor is it regular investors of the company.
