What I see today is an effort to knock the price down before positive news.

When Lourdes says she expects Pascoe to issue some sort of corporate update, she is not making that up. So odds are pretty good that we will get an update, and probably next week as it marks the start of the year. (This week is still a holiday week for a lot of people.) It is highly likely that the update will be upbeat.

Those who want to prevent a possible ballistic move in the stock price, for whatever reason, would try to lower the base price heading into good news. I see that being more of a factor than profit taking or end-of-the-week selling.

Regardless, looking forward to the update.
