Not sure what to expect today. If there really was a leak of good news to come, then the buying should continue today. Otherwise, it could be that institutions decided they would start buying after the first of the year. Not sure what the calendar date has to do with this, unless there is some reporting or other administrative reason for waiting until after Jan. 1 to buy.
