“I admire the British government for its sensible decision to invest in third-generation nuclear plants in the current environment,” said Raphael Gorge, chief executive officer of Groupe Gorge (GOE), which makes doors for atomic plants and drones. “I’m disappointed by France’s decision to shut down a nuclear plant that could get an extension, and not replace old plants.”

The U.K. deal may ring in as much as 100 million euros for the company and also bring business for Redhall Group, a U.K firm in which Groupe Gorge has a 19 percent stake.

If the British nuclear program is re-launched and six to 10 reactors are built, “the U.K. will become our top export market in Europe,” Gorge said.
