It seems as though the 244's in the newisys boxes at launch may have been "pushed" a little by upping the voltage, but, hey, they work, and as you point out, you can order a 1.8 GHz Opteron today.


You know Doug, it's funny...... When intel upped the voltage in the past, on their processors to achieve higher speeds, "Some People" went ballistic on that "Other Board" (Right Joe?). But now that it appears AMD did it to achieve 1.8, not even the 2.0 that was promised at intro, now suddenly it seems to be O.K. with "The Gang". I wonder how you guys would have reacted if intel had done the same thing with a "New Chip Introduction"? Somehow, I have a feeling that you wouldn't have been as kind.
