early retirement, my take on it is this. NEOM IP (prior to today's new patent) does cover the bridge. Tight. And not "just" as they apply to camera phone reading of barcodes. What I think this new patent brings to the table is a hands-down slam dunk confirmation that yes, NEOM IP covers this IP as it applies to camera phones. Camera phones were covered before, as defined in the earlier patents..now this patent clarifies and spells it out in no uncertain terms. IMO, this brings any challenges to the IP applied in this way to a screeching halt...ie ScanBuy. This patent also dilutes the argument that a few have presented in saying that NEOM IP has to be "proven" in court. I think this patent spells it out, plain as day. IMO any attorney who wanted to challenge this application before, would not proceed with this patent being granted.

JMHO, and maybe clawmann, lupetto etc can weigh in from the legal standpoint.
