I'm not pumping...but just a little clarification. I used to work with big auditors--- there are many reasons a firm might resign. For example--if they no longer needed their services and needed a more specialty firm... That could be a reason.

An M/a could be a reason.

The contract might have been terminated but let the firm " resign" to save face with other clients.

All these are legit reasons that have nothing to do with anything affecting this company and where it's going.

Not saying I know the reason 100 percent, but.... This is common and actually so is their language in clause everyone is so worried about. I believe actually standard for a company in I their financial position.

IMHO.
