Does AMD mention a 2.4 GHz Opteron in their data sheet?
No - of course they don't.
The data sheet applies to the parts they are shipping today.
And that is 1.4 and 1.6 GHz and the phantom 1.8 GHz Opterons that FanBoy sites have.
face the truth - don't make up your own lies and fantasies and wrap them in "your understanding".
AMD's data sheet explicitly specifies the Opteron to burn 85 watts max. power - for the devices it is currently shipping.
Get over it.
