Common sense apparently has little to do with this.
They issued a PR before the open on the 19th to announce a distribution, stating that the distribution has a declaration date of December 28th.
A declaration date, as its name implies, is the date on which the dividend is declared...aka announced. Announcing a distribution with a declaration date in the future is oxymoronic.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.
