I own the SEIKI 39" 4K UHDTV and I thought I would share some stuff about it. I am a videographer and have been around 4k for 3 years now.

The price is unreal! Thanks to SEIKI, TCL, and Hisense people on a budget can buy a 4k TV for under a $1000. With SEIKI having a 39" option you can get it for less than $500.

Can you tell the difference between 1080P and 4k on a small 39" display? Yes, Yes you can tell a difference and it looks amazing!

Would you buy a $500 4k TV or a high end 1080p set at this point? 4k all the way. Even on a so-so set, 4k blows away your 1080P TV!

Can you use it as a computer monitor? Yes, look around on forums for more information about your computer because there are variables to consider. I am running it on my 15" retina Macbook Pro (2012) and it is working perfectly! If anyone has questions about using 4k TV's on Apple computers I am glad to help!

The build quality actually surprised me!
-It has a thick sturdy glass base for stability
-a very thin bezel that stays out of the way of the picture.
-3 HDMI ports. Usually no frills TV's only have 2.
- A detailed menu with ability to tweak many aspects of the picture/color output. (Very important for a video editor like myself)

Now out of the box it's not calibrated well. I found some great settings that make it look twice as accurate. Most TV's are not properly calibrated out of the box and this is no exception. If you own the set and want to know my settings PM me. Calibrating it made me feel like I added about $500 to the picture quality! HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED.

They saved production costs in all the right places. Speakers and WIFI are pointless when you have a couple of decent speakers to plug in and a box like the Nuvola, AppleTV, ROKU, WD etc. These boxes are better than any built in wifi crap on the set itself.

This is a perfect companion for the upcoming Nuvola NP-1. Good move for SEIKI to partner with NTEK because it will be NTEK that makes SEIKI a known name in TV.

If you have any questions about the set or want my calibration settings PM or reply.

All in all the TV is a great buy for the price and I am happy with it. Can't wait to plug a Nuvola into it!

I hope this helps someone because I did a lot of research on this thing and would like to share the knowledge.
