After listening to the webinar last night, I was very surprised by the lukewarm reaction that some on this board had to it. If you weren't excited about the potential of TRTC after hearing it, then you're either short-sighted or way too impatient. In simple terms, I refer to Derek quoting the great Wayne Gretsky...'skate to where you think the puck will be, not where it is.' As I had long suspected, Edible Gardens is a means to an end. Derek even referred to it as a hedge. So they are building up this company of produce, which is admittedly cutting edge and wonderful, but as soon as the feds give that green light (pun intended) that everybody is waiting for, they will switch over to the real cash crop. In the interim, they are building a nationwide growing and distribution network with the aid of the Vandervelde family. Doesn't everybody realize that a company with the agricultural footprint of Edible Gardens will have a massive advantage over the other companies that'll be scrambling when the feds say go? And if it never happens, even if somehow public opinion swings back (it won't), the produce will be lucrative regardless. It's brilliant and dare I say, safe? It's strange to think of any MMJ play as safe, but this is as close as I've seen. I've been long here for awhile, I bought initially at .26, but averaged down aggressively when it was in the .06's. I'm now averaged a little below a dime, so I'm currently in the green (again, pun intended) on this one and I feel good about the prospects of this for years and years to come. This is a long term play if I've ever seen one. One more thing, I adored the thoughtful aggression that Derek has in regards to the proverbial green line and his pragmatic ideas in regards to risk and perhaps even jumping a tick or two ahead of the fed's gun to gain a competitive advantage when the time is right. He's a very forward thinking individual with a perfect background to navigate this.
