Vocalocity Launches New Mobile, Desktop and Productivity Plugins

New Solutions to Help Businesses Increase Sales, Improve Productivity and Strengthen Customer Relationships

Vocalocity, which was acquired last month by Vonage (NYSE:VG), today launched several new technology solutions including completely revamped mobile and desktop applications and new Salesforce.com and call history plugins. These feature-rich solutions are built to help businesses amplify their customer relationships and conduct business how they want, when they want and from wherever they’d like.

“Customers are the lifeblood of every business, and it is important that a business’s phone system – the conduit to its lifeblood – is built with features that keep customer relationships going strong,” said Wain Kellum, former CEO of Vocalocity and now president of Vonage Business Solutions. “Businesses no longer run on a pre-set schedule, making it more important for owners and employees to have access to their office phone system all the time, from any location.”

Kellum continued, “We continuously listen to the needs and wants of our customers, and we strategically build and deliver solutions that directly address their demands and the pain points of the business industry. Our new applications and plugins are exactly what business owners and their employees need to manage their companies.”

Available for iPhone® and Android™ devices, Vocalocity’s mobile applications allow users to extend many of their business phone service features to their smartphones. In addition to voice service, the apps allow users to monitor call queues, read voicemail transcripts, review call history, and manage account and extension settings among other capabilities. These apps are free to mobile customers.

Vocalocity’s newest desktop application extends the features of its virtual PBX to the office computer. Users can control incoming and outgoing calls and manage their extension settings, directly from their monitor. Vocalocity’s desktop includes a full portfolio of customizable plugins, including one-click dialing and call monitoring for employee training. This application is also free to Vocalocity customers.

Vocalocity’s call history plugin provides a screen pop-up that shows call history information every time a customer calls. This puts all the pertinent details of a customer’s interactions with the business right in front of users, including previous call-in dates and the time, direction, length and call results, as well as quick access to voicemail. This plugin is free to Vocalocity customers.

Designed to help businesses increase sales and improve customer service, Vocalocity’s new Salesforce.com plugin, available to customers for just $2.99 per month, improves the speed and quality of information available with each call by automatically showing relevant caller information in real-time. This plugin allows users to create new contacts, leads or accounts; automate call tracking; and quickly log customer and lead interactions.
