Applied Food Sciences Successfully Concludes Another Patent Infringement Case
Applied Food Sciences, Inc. has favorably concluded a patent dispute with Hangover Joe's Products, LLC , the former marketers of Hangover Joe's Get Up & Go™ hangover recovery shot. Applied Food Sciences, Inc. brought the underlying lawsuit, case 1:11-cv-00391, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against the former marketer of Hangover Joe's Get Up & Go™ hangover recovery shot, stating they allegedly were infringing its patent for the use of glucarate and its derivatives such as glucuronolactone, a popular ingredient in energy drinks, for the reduction of negative symptoms associated with alcohol ingestion. U.S. Patent No. 7,662,863.
