Why i am not hopeful for Microsignet. Aside from the obvious FRED FALK,s ability to sell anything, let's look at questions and issues most of us have no idea. And as we know nothing really is unhackable or secure proof in the computer world or so it is said.

Cost to implement the Microsignet. what components or elements or software or readers etc are neeed to make it work. Do those elements have to be part of the chip or do the devices need to have the recognizing elements. Will it be a huge investment for the chip companies or device makers or both. Will they be built in or like an app downloadable. Are there cheaper solutions as secure. Maybe not with the physical aspects of the chips but embedded solutions are already out there. KEELOQ seems like a possible competitor.

Flexibility.. Seems to me embedded solutions can be updated if hacked. I doubt once hacked the physical elements can be or should be changed. If its the defects unique to each chip then in order to change if hacked do they have to or would they have to make ore defects in the chips to change the footprint. How easy would that be to do.

Failure. If it fails are you out of luck or can it be fixed and how easily. These chips come with bad sectors what if a good sector becomes bad does that then change the security footprint and then does that stop devices from accessesing the protected materials.

These are just a couple of issues that come to me in just seconds of thinking about it and I wonder what Intel and TI type techs would be raising.

But as I said to start the whole thing we have had apparently groundbreaking tech and products in the past and they basically went nowher because of Fred Falk and incompetence.
