More than working on the commercialization of past R & D...as they begin work with the National Science Foundation on fuel injection research.. I would think it reasonable that AFTC is in the running to be awarded more awards through the SBIR program. They mention several possibilities are in the works

This link is to a solicitation that should be awarded after the first of the year... looks like a good fit for AFTC! Not many companies are working with NSF on fuel Injection and have the DME experience needed for this project.
