Not true. There are legal and tax reasons for suing, even if you know your target has no assets and you won't get paid. Since DGRI has no assets, and is highly unlikely to ever have any, they didn't even bother to show up to defend themselves in these lawsuits. But the plaintiffs had reasons to sue, and win, other than being paid.
