The key is for NTEK to hit a $299 price performance at 4K. The Nvidia Tegra 4 has lower power consumption and can be sold cheaper.
The A1 chipset that was ditched is cheaper......and NTEK ditched this route. The rockchip is cheap too....and may not even hit 4K
The Haswell by intel is readily available but is gonna have a bigger price tag....such as the NP-H1.
