NOVACAB INTERNATIONAL INC (NVOB: OTC) is pleased to announce that it now owns and operates the two divisions of Novacab Inc namely Novacab and Novanergy. It also announces that its trading symbol has been changed from SBRH to NVOB.
Novacab International Inc offers technologies which are based on patent protected research and development which started 15 years ago, and are now applicable in two main sectors.
1. Novacab for Vehicles and Transport applications
The Technology provides thermal storage that is charged directly by coolant flow rate; simply put, energy is stored and transferred from the flow of heat in the cooling system of vehicles.
Thermal and electrical energies are stored in a modular unit integrated to the vehicle: Depending on the usage of the vehicle, it will provide Air Conditioning and Heating needs for 6 to 10 consecutive hours without the engine running. It is a green solution for Trucks with sleeper cabs covering long distances as well as service vehicles with long idling periods.
Notably, the technology targets 500,000 Class 8 truck with sleeper cabs out of a fleet of 2,400,000 Class 8 in the USA and Canada. This Technology also applies to more than 500,000 for Service and Commercial vehicles plus vehicles requiring refrigeration.
In some applications, this Technology allows for a reduction of fuel consumption between 6,000 to 8,000 liters per year per truck.
Along with the corresponding fuel savings, there are two additional major advantages, first, a significant reduction in CO2 and other GHG emissions and secondly, an extension of the engine’s useful life, which might correspond to several thousands of additional km on the same engine.
Testing and installations were made with outstanding results which were monitored and validated by independent sources such asTransport Canada,Hydro-Quebec, etc. Transport Canada’s tests showed that the Novacabintegrated climate control system hassignificant advantages compared to present trucking practices.
Currently more than 22 states in the USA and half of the Canadian provinces have passed legislation restricting truck engines idling.
2. Novanergy/Stationary Thermal Energy Storage Systems
Integrating a technology developed and manufactured by Enerstat (Novanergy): this system gives great advantagesin critical applications such asdatacenters, hospitals, industrial applications in pharmaceutical, electronic manufacturing and food processing, etc...
The Thermal EnergyStorage unit operates within temperatures ranging from -40 degrees F to 195 degrees Fand the end result is a reduction in energy consumption as well as thermal back up capacity.
In the initial deployment years, among the companies that have implemented our technology, carried on pilot projects or conducting monitoring or feasibility studies are IBM, , Honeywell, Siemens, L'Oreal, Molson-Coors, CBC, ,KWI Polymer Solutions, Centre des technologies du gaz naturel,, Cascade Energies,Enbalaand many others.
Installations of thermal storage units allowed for the consumption transfer of power in off-peak period; the accumulation of energy turns into available on-peak quasi-free energy during the day.
