I agree Bitcoin is the only currency that I know a individual can just make their own. People tried that with dollar bills and its called counterfieting right?. It is a freaking fad and the rise in it was no different then when gold hit 1900. It happened on speculation plain and simple. The speculation with Bitcoin is much more dangerous because gold was alteast a precious metal and is recognized as such by central banks across the world. But Bitcoins are already being forbidden to be purchased by Banks in china. Baidu came out today as well and said they are no longer accepting bitcoins for goods.
