We received a question regarding the extended legislative break in Costa Rica with regard to the Presidential election and the possibility our PPA would not be signed until after the election.

The elections are always an issue and have been for the past six months, not directly, but indirectly (delays). Our proposed wind farm is legal under the existing laws, so we are not waiting for new laws, amendments to the law and by extension the legislature. As a point of reference, the PPA should be signed by the Buyer’s General Manager, not a politician. It is important to consider that we are working with the Presidential candidates at a high political level (part of the overall strategy) and the Company does believe it enjoys excellent support. Energy is a political issue, and this can have an effect, but we believe we are well positioned and continue pushing for the execution of this document to be completed as soon as possible.
