Does it say they received compensation? I see they use the word 'often' and not 'always'

It's a conditional argument if they did receive compensation in the first place, and if they did, was it in the form of cash and/or shares

it would make sense in a week where there is going to be an investor conference call that the company would pay for promotion. i much rather just c a PR
