"Wind down", "shutter".....those words don't give me a warm and fuzzy at all. I take those quotes literally. The president wants to shut down FnF. He doesn't give a $hit about shareholders. He has endorsed the Corker/Warner bill which winds down FnF within 5 years.

I roll my eyes when some of the sheeple on this board try to interpret some secret decoded meaning behind the terms he used and spin it into something positive. Like..."he must mean wind down the conservatorship" or "shutter means can shutter, then re-open, like shutters on a house".

I've said this before, this is bigger than us. If we don't prevail with these lawsuits then a major precedence will be set in place and there will be nothing to stop the government to sweep away publicly traded companies right from under the shareholders. This could take years to unfold and even go before the Supreme Court.
