UG- thanks for reminding us of the specific language. Is the "real party in interest" JPM or the FDIC?

Likewise, Bancorp’s trustee has agreed that the appeal should not go forward.

This is the sentence that bothers me. Which trustee? Sender? Sender certainly wanted to "go forward". However, why does a trustee even care? The trustee is just simply administrating assets vs. liabilities. That's the part that confuses me.
