This is from the internet explorer and not the app to make it less complicated. I've done some research on it in the past. Here's what I know..from internet explorer... When you look at popular users and when they put a vid up...it spikes quickly and freezes at 300 so YouTube has time to validate these views that are coming in so rapidly and not be it a robot doing it. After they validate within 24 hours or so it goes to the accurate number of views that was happening (getting views) during the time it was frozen. And moves on from there. YouTube records all view counts when you look at the page and then when you click on the video you see a significantly less view count figure from that of which on the landing page of the vid. This is for YouTube partners that get paid to put up vids by the ads that show up at the beginning of the video however, so they won't get overpaid or scam YouTube into faking views. Danny is not a YouTube partner however..because we haven't seen an ad. It takes effort to become a YouTube partner, I don't think he created an Adsense account and went through all these steps....I wonder if the view count rule still applies for non YouTube partners..just someone that uploads a vid. Without an Adsense linked to their YouTube account. It seems like it does. Did anyone see the view count get stuck at 300 by any chance? Would give is more insight.
