On the contrary, they do. The SEC has numerous publications for investors warning of the dangers of non-SEC reporting stocks.

This is a no-brainer. Legitimate companies register and report to the SEC because it is in their best interest to be transparent and make that information available to investors.

And Companies that are not legitimate don't.
