Not looking good for PHOT!!

Scott Sterling has been found dead in Malibu, according to reports on Wednesday. Sterling is the son of Los Angeles Clippers owner, Donald Stirling, who is said to be devastated at the news.

Sheriff's Homicide Detectives were called to an apartment complex in the 22600 block of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu at about 11.30 p.m. local time on Tuesday, and found the body of 32 year old Sterling inside.

Deputy Guillermina Saldaña has said, "Sheriff's Homicide and Los Angeles County Coroner's personnel at this time believe that Sterling died of an apparent drug overdose," according to CBS Los Angeles.

An autopsy and toxicology tests will now be carried out to confirm the cause of death, however, it could take weeks to receive the results. No further details about the death were immediately released apart from that he was found dead on the couch of his Malibu apartment.

The Sterling family released a statement Wednesday confirming that Sterling had been fighting Type 1 Diabetes prior to his death, which they called "a terrible tragedy."

The Sterling family statement said, "Our son Scott has fought a long and valiant battle against Type 1 diabetes. His death is a terrible tragedy, the effects of which will be felt forever by our family and all those who knew and loved him. We sincerely appreciate the warm outpouring of sympathy and support from so many of our dear friends."

Authorities have confirmed that Sterling was found alone at the apartment and that there were no immediate signs of any type of foul play in the death.
