Thanks Reaper247, I'm a greenhorn, so will likely be more of a watcher than a sharer... but I will say that my friend who's farther along with all this is pushing me to get into art investments. There are lots of perspectives on this, like the one article I have to read is https://www.jpmorgan.com/tss/General/The_Art_of_Investing_in_Art/1320507612236. It seems like a good path, just not the one I had thought of preceding today.
