Golds: A year exclusive on Opteron may be the biggest thing IBM got with their manufacturing deal with AMD. When 65nm happens then the two of them can merrily sell to everyone else.

Uhhh, aren't we forgetting some things here?

AMD PAID to get the manufacturing expertise (manufacturing expertise, not a manufacturing deal, mind you) from IBM. IBM were not fortunate to get Opterons. More pointedly, IBM is not turning their entire line over to Opterons, quite the contrary. Also, there has been no statement about 65nm, much less 90nm for that matter. This is a pretty good example of "making up things".
