You are exactly right for most people in most situations. By that I mean you are not going to go out and rent with a family even if God told you that housing had peaked. You won't do it.

This board really isn't about telling someone they should sell their house and rent. What it is about is the MACRO affects that a cumulative drop in housing will cause.

Obviously, if a person were invested heavily in housing stocks or if they owned investment properties that had skyrocketed or if they were thinking of buying with nothing down and a 3 year balloon, then THEY should be reading this board for personal help. But, for the vast majority of us who own a single home, there isn't much we can (or would) do differently.
