I agree with both of you! In a sense... Think of some of the weirdest, strangest commercials out there (but not the japanese ones those are really wtf out there). Maybe think of a perfume commercial. Some really weird, elegant artsy bull crap that flashes the product name at the end. Those must work or they wouldn't keep using them! At the same time, yes the commercial would be "better" if they showed a little more of the product earlier on. Like maybe showing the people living life normally and then doing a little blood sugar test out in the park or at a sporting event or somewhere else out in the open implying that they aren't restricted by being diabetic. The commercial actually does this by NOT showing them pricking their fingers though. They are happily living in a patchwork of life free from the restraints of diabetes because of *dun dun duuuuuun!!* GENSTRIPS! What are they? Well they have a very easy super simple name to remember and the commercial shows you that searching for them on the internet is as easy as putting a .com behind the name of the product! I do see some benefits of showing at least the product's box toward the beginning tho. Maybe the old man is putting them on the counter at his pharmacy or something? Oh well, either way the song has been stuck in my head the past week! Lol It reminds me of those hip new folksy songs like the ones in that movie Juno. Somewhat irritating but irresistibly lovable! ;)
