Not all directors of a corporation are or have to be shareholders although that's probably a more common scenario. MINE may decide to include stock ownership as part of his compensation seeing as at this point there isn't a ton of revenue generated. I'm positive he is or will be a significant shareholder so he'll have more skin in the game other than just reputation.
